Sullaway Project-9

ART PROJECT

Showcases an image of my face on the body outline of Wiz Khalifa. Photoshop was used in order to erase and shade pieces of my face in order to best match Wiz’s. He has been a favorite artist of mine for quite some time. The toughest part of this was cutting out my face as clean as possible.

SOMEWHERE

The concept was to cut out an image of myself, and place it on a background. The project utilized Adobe Photoshop, where areas such as light/dark or contrast could be manipulated for the best possible effect. The background was selected online and the image of myself was cut out and pasted on.

AUTOSCOPY

Above are just two of ten images manipulated in Photoshop. Each were pre existing and required transformation by Photoshop tools such as color, contrast, or blur. The purpose was to choose pictures that relate to us on a personal level. The one portrayed is of Breaking Bad character Walter White, whom is one of my all time favorite television characters.

CANVAS

Using DreamWeaver this image was created by coding. Every color, background, and object positioning is all created through such code within DreamWeaver. The purpose of the image is to represent boats on the water during a sunset

BUSINESS CARDS

After establishing a company/logo idea, the next step was to make sample business cards. Above include three different card ideas with front and back both featured. The overall concept was to see how we could make our own business cards for future employment if desired.

AUDIO

Combines the Animation Project with the application Garage Band. The purpose was to add music to the pre existing timeline. Garage Band allowed the timeline to be imported and further edited to produce a final animation with audio.

ANIMATION

Using Photoshop I was able to develop a video of my roommate as he shoots a Basketball. I initially had 60 plus images that required trimming and rendering within a timeline. The concept is to make the video flow realistic as possible given the short jump cuts.

MORPHIX

This video was made in order to show the transformation of my face. The first image shown is from my Sophomore year of High School. The second image was my Senior year of High School. Lastly, the third image was taken this past summer before beginning my Senior year of College. The overall concept is to show how my face has transformed from picture one to three.

Sullaway Project-6

POSTER

This project also used Adobe Illustrator. The image depicts the now deceased Rap Music star Mac Miller. He died young and very unexpectedly this year. Although the image is mildly distorted, it is a poster based off of an already existing piece on the artist. The overall concept is to honor Mac's memory and to never forget what an inspiration he was.

Sullaway Project-5

GRADIENT MESH

This project utilized Adobe Illustrator in order to manipulate a pre existing google image of a Watermelon. The application allowed the image to be transformed into a much more high definition and almost animated picture. The gradient tool was used often in order to get the most accurate coloring possible.

BUSINESS CARDS

This Project is a sample brand (name and logo). The name I came up with was "Rhino Heel" which was aimed to be a potential shoe/footwear company. The logo and name for the brand was created using Adobe Illustrator. The concept of the project was useful when considering real life branding, and how logos/names can be created all virtually at a cost efficient price. The project was then turned into potential business card designs.

CALLIGRAM

For this project, the first step was to pick an image that related to my life personally. I chose a Basketball because it is my favorite sport, and I have been playing all my life. I then found a poem online that was about Basketball, and using Adobe Illustrator I was able to replace the details of a typical Basketball with the words of the poem.
